Announcement of the alliance between the Chamber and the Ibero-American Federation of Young Entrepreneurs in 2020

In September 2020, the Multilateral Chamber of Commerce and Cooperation Israel Ibero-America (now the Israel Ibero-America Chamber of Commerce) announced a new strategic alliance with the Ibero-American Federation of Young Entrepreneurs (FIJE). The alliance seeks to strengthen the work and business activity of young entrepreneurs in Ibero-America through exchange with Israel.

What is the Ibero-American Federation of Young Entrepreneurs (FIJE)?

FIJE is considered the largest representative body of young entrepreneurs in Ibero-America. It was founded in 2008 by organizations representing young entrepreneurs from 17 countries, with the main goal of pursuing economic development with social and environmental responsibility.

Its membership brings together more than 80,000 young entrepreneurs who seek to develop business through local and international organizations and who promote dialogue with governments and international bodies.

Backing from SEGIB and the OIJ

In addition to the founding countries, FIJE was created with the support of the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) and the Ibero-American Youth Organization (OIJ). SEGIB is the international body that supports the Ibero-American Conference of Heads of State and Government and is headquartered in Madrid.

Goals of the alliance between the Chamber and FIJE

The Chamber joins this backing to provide support to FIJE. The partnership between the two organizations will strengthen business work and activity in Ibero-America through exchange with Israel in the following areas:

  • trade and economy;
  • logistics;
  • technology and innovation.
