San José, Costa Rica. In February 2024, the Multilateral Chamber of Commerce and Cooperation Israel Ibero-America (now the Israel Ibero-America Chamber of Commerce) presented the Report of the CECC Strategic Planning Workshop, in collaboration with Fundepos, CENECOOP R.L. and UNESCO San José. This joint effort aims to strengthen the CECC institutionally.
What is the CECC/SICA?
The Central American Educational and Cultural Coordination (CECC/SICA) is the body of the Central American Integration System (SICA) specializing in education and culture.
First step toward the CECC Institutional Strategic Plan
The presentation of the report marks the first step in the process of building the Institutional Strategic Plan, the document that will guide the CECC’s actions and objectives in the future.
During the workshop, analysis and reflection exercises were carried out on:
- the current situation of the CECC;
- the opportunities it has in the regional context;
- the challenges it faces in that same context.
Partnerships for the institutional strengthening of the CECC
Representatives of CILIB and its partners highlighted the importance of this plan for promoting sustainability and effectiveness in the CECC’s management, and for ensuring that it is aligned with the needs of the communities and organizations it represents.
The partners include UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. This progress underscores the commitment of CILIB and its partners to institutional development and cooperation in the region, and lays the foundation for more coordinated and effective work.
