San José, Costa Rica. On October 31, 2023, Mr. David O. Abraham, President of the Multilateral Chamber of Commerce and Cooperation Israel Ibero-America (now the Israel Ibero-America Chamber of Commerce), CILIB, and Mr. Paul Stephen, CILIB’s regional director in Costa Rica, visited the Central American Educational and Cultural Coordination (CECC-SICA).
Dialogue on educational exchange in Central America
During the visit, both held a constructive dialogue on the importance of strengthening educational exchange relations and cooperation in the region.
David Abraham highlighted CILIB’s role in facilitating access to educational technologies and collaboration among the countries of Ibero-America and the Caribbean. He also expressed his interest in identifying joint opportunities that benefit Central American social development.
CECC-SICA, a strategic ally for regional education
As a center dedicated to training and the development of education in Central America, CECC-SICA is positioned as a strategic ally in this process. It is part of the Central American Integration System (SICA), the regional integration framework created in 1991 by the Tegucigalpa Protocol.
Paul Stephen emphasized the need to create programs that promote sustainable development and the optimization of the regional education system, in order to develop the skills needed to carry out business initiatives.
Commitment to education and economic growth in SICA
The visit concluded with a commitment to continue working together on projects that strengthen regional education and contribute to the economic growth of SICA member countries.
