The Multilateral Chamber of Commerce and Cooperation Israel Ibero-America (now the Israel Ibero-America Chamber of Commerce) congratulates the American people on holding the presidential election of November 5, 2024, and highlights the importance of this democratic process as an example of stability and civic participation worldwide. The Chamber (CILIB) expresses its admiration for the dedication of the people of the United States to upholding their democratic values and for the civic maturity demonstrated during this historic electoral process.
Congratulations to President-elect Donald J. Trump
In addition to congratulating the American people, CILIB extends special congratulations to President-elect Donald J. Trump on his recent victory.
The Chamber highlighted the role Trump played during his first term (2017-2021), a period in which key projects were advanced that strengthened relations between the United States, Israel and the nations of Latin America. Among these advances, it mentioned the collaborations in security, technology and innovation, which have been fundamental to the joint growth of these regions.
“Donald J. Trump’s victory represents an opportunity to deepen cooperation and promote development in the commercial, cultural and technological areas, which have benefited our communities in recent years,” said Fernando Obando, CILIB’s Trade Missions Coordinator.
Obando expressed his optimism that this renewed administration will make it possible to continue these efforts, expanding opportunities for business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs.
Commitment to Trade and Regional Growth
For the Chamber, Trump’s re-election also opens a new chapter in diplomatic, economic and cultural relations between the United States, Israel and the Ibero-American countries. CILIB is committed to strengthening cooperation ties through projects that promote fair trade, sustainable development and the exchange of knowledge between these regions.
“At CILIB, we are committed to working with the United States government to consolidate a mutually beneficial relationship that contributes to the peace and economic progress of our nations. We aim to act as a strategic bridge to bring business leaders and entrepreneurs closer together, as well as to foster job creation and investment that benefit our communities,” Obando added.
