Einstein LabMate personal lab · Israel Ibero-America Chamber of Commerce

Einstein™ LabMate is a data-logging device that turns a tablet, a laptop or a projector into a digital science lab. Through the Israel Ibero-America Chamber of Commerce (CILIB), schools in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula can access this STEM solution and the subsidies the Chamber offers to implement it.

“Einstein™ LabMate is an innovative device that transforms any tablet into an interactive digital science lab. With 8 built-in sensors and the ability to connect to more than 60 additional sensors, LabMate opens up a world of possibilities for hands-on STEM teaching and learning.”

What Einstein LabMate is: a science lab at the click of a button

Einstein™ LabMate transforms any device with a screen into an interactive digital science lab. It includes 8 built-in sensors and can connect to more than 60 additional Einstein™ sensors, making it possible to carry out a wide range of hands-on experiments in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).

The device is developed by Fourier Education, the company behind LabMate, which also provides workbooks, manuals and an experiment catalog to support educators.

Who it is for

LabMate is designed for schools and teachers who want to bring hands-on science to their students. Its suitability for a particular grade level will depend on the type of experiments to be carried out and the complexity of the MiLABEx app; we therefore recommend reviewing the detailed product information or contacting Fourier Education to confirm that it meets the needs of each level.

How LabMate works

LabMate connects to the device with a screen and works with the MiLABEx app, which offers a simple interface for controlling the sensors, collecting data and analyzing experiment results. MiLABEx contains three sub-apps:

  • “Lab”, for carrying out experiments.
  • “Workbook”, for creating and sharing custom experiments.
  • “Weather Station”, for monitoring weather parameters.

Key features

  • Turns any screen into a lab: it connects to tablets, laptops or projectors and turns them into a digital lab.
  • 8 built-in sensors: to measure temperature, light, sound, pH, pressure and more, enabling a variety of experiments.
  • More than 60 compatible sensors (and counting): expand the possibilities with additional sensors, which are constantly being developed, for more specialized experiments.
  • MiLABEx app: an intuitive interface for controlling sensors, collecting data and analyzing results.

What experiments can be carried out

LabMate and its sensors make it possible to carry out a wide variety of experiments in biology, physics, chemistry, environmental studies and human physiology. The range of available sensors makes it possible to explore specific topics within each subject.

Benefits for your school

  • Accessible hands-on science: students can carry out hands-on experiments from anywhere, making science more accessible and interactive.
  • Greater interest in STEM subjects: hands-on experience sparks students’ curiosity and prepares them for the future.
  • 21st-century learning: it fosters skills such as critical thinking, creativity, innovation and problem-solving.
  • Versatility and flexibility: with more than 60 compatible sensors, it adapts to a wide range of experiments.
  • Ease of use: integration with MiLABEx makes it intuitive to collect, visualize and analyze data.
  • Resources and support: Fourier Education provides workbooks, manuals and an experiment catalog to support educators.

More options for well-rounded learning

  • Einstein™ dataloggers: in addition to LabMate, Fourier Education offers other dataloggers, such as Tablet+3 and LabMate II, which also enable hands-on science experiences anywhere.
  • Tablet+3: an all-in-one Android tablet for science, with 13 built-in sensors.
  • LabMate II: similar to LabMate, but with 8 built-in sensors.
