The Multilateral Chamber of Commerce and Cooperation Israel Ibero-America (now the Israel Ibero-America Chamber of Commerce) issued invitations to the Chamber’s opening cocktail reception in the State of Israel, scheduled for November 27, 2019, at 8:00 p.m. at the Eyal Hotel in Jerusalem. The gathering was also convened to welcome the Ibero-American delegation invited to the Concert for Peace.
Opening of the Chamber in the State of Israel
The cocktail reception was conceived as the opening ceremony of the Chamber in Israel, the country where the organization was founded in 2019. From there, the Chamber works in foreign trade, training and cooperation between Israel and the countries of Ibero-America.
Welcome to the Ibero-American Delegation of the Concert for Peace
The event had a second purpose: to welcome the Ibero-American delegation that would attend, as guests of honor, the third edition of the Concert for Peace, dedicated to commemorating the 71st anniversary of the abolition of Costa Rica’s army.
Costa Rica abolished its army on December 1, 1948, and the 1949 Political Constitution enshrined that decision in its Article 12. Since then, the Central American country has had no standing armed forces.
