On March 5, 2020, the Costa Rica Support and Promotion Office (OSPCR) and the Multilateral Chamber of Commerce and Cooperation Israel Ibero-America (now the Israel Ibero-America Chamber of Commerce) organized a meeting at Costa Rica’s Presidential House between H.E. Mr. Jordi Gallardo, Minister of Economy of the Principality of Andorra, and H.E. Ms. Silvia Lara, Minister of the Presidency a.i. of Costa Rica.
The meeting was held on the occasion of the Government of Andorra’s first official visit to the Republic of Costa Rica.
Strengthening relations between Andorra and Costa Rica
During the meeting, the participants assessed opportunities to strengthen government relations between the Principality of Andorra and the Republic of Costa Rica.
Andorra is a principality located in the Pyrenees, between Spain and France, whose role of head of state is held jointly by two co-princes: the Bishop of Urgell and the President of the French Republic. The abbreviation “a.i.” (ad interim) indicates that the minister held the post on an interim basis.
The OSPCR’s work promoting Costa Rica abroad
At the meeting, David Abraham, Secretary General of the OSPCR and President of the Chamber, reported on the work the OSPCR has carried out over the last 11 years to promote Costa Rica’s image abroad.
They also discussed the future projects that the OSPCR is developing to continue promoting Costa Rica and assisting its citizens abroad.
