David O. Abraham, President of the Multilateral Chamber of Commerce and Cooperation Israel Ibero-America (now the Israel Ibero-America Chamber of Commerce, CILIB), and Paul Stephen, CILIB’s regional director in Costa Rica, met in San José with Silvia Castro, President of the Costa Rican-American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM). CILIB reported on the meeting in November 2023, as part of its work to promote international trade relations.
Cooperation between CILIB and AMCHAM in Costa Rica
The meeting was held at ULACID University in Costa Rica and focused on exploring new opportunities for bilateral collaboration.
Abraham highlighted the potential of cooperation between CILIB and AMCHAM to foster strategic alliances that drive educational development in Costa Rica’s rural areas. For his part, Paul Stephen stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two chambers.
Technology, innovation and sustainability for Costa Rican companies
Silvia Castro expressed her interest in creating synergies between the two chambers to help Costa Rican companies grow in international markets. During the meeting, key areas in which the two organizations can work together were discussed:

- Sustainability.
Trade and investment between Costa Rica, Israel and Ibero-America
The meeting concluded with a commitment to continue exploring ways to deepen cooperation between AMCHAM and CILIB, with the aim of promoting trade and investment between Costa Rica, Israel and the rest of Ibero-America.
This meeting reinforces CILIB’s mission to promote international trade and its commitment to regional economic development.
