Ibero-American Festival 2020: Business and Culture Between Israel and Ibero-America

The Ibero-American Festival in Israel is the business platform and social, economic and cultural meeting point that brings together companies, chambers of commerce, association leaders and the most relevant government organizations within the Jewish/Israeli and Ibero-American communities. Its founders, the ADHIE Development Association and the Ancient Sepharad Community of Israel (CASEI), conceived it to strengthen the friendship between Israel and Ibero-America.

What the Ibero-American Festival is

The Ibero-American Festival was born as a joint initiative to promote the ties between both worlds through business, society and culture. Its first edition, the 1st Ibero-American Festival in Israel, sought to support the continuity and promotion of this friendship.

More than 500 years of friendship between Ibero-America and the Jewish people

Ibero-America and the people of Israel have been friends for more than 500 years. Officially, the first page of this friendship was written on October 12, 1492, and since then encyclopedias have been written about the adventures and misfortunes the two would share over the years.

For the Jewish people, Ibero-America has often been the helping hand available in times of need: whether by offering its lands as a home and refuge during periods of persecution and Nazism, or by supporting recognition of the creation of the State of Israel in 1948.

Israel’s cooperation with the Ibero-American countries

The Jewish people, and the State of Israel, have known how to reciprocate this friendship: whenever there has been a major emergency in a friendly Ibero-American country, Israel has always been there.

The Jewish state’s cooperation, assistance and technology transfer missions in the Ibero-American region are countless. All of this shows that friendship and cooperation between nations and respect between peoples are the best way to improve the world we live in.

The Festival’s founders and purpose

As founders of the Ibero-American Festival, the ADHIE Development Association and the Ancient Sepharad Community of Israel (CASEI) have sought to jointly develop an initiative that strengthens these ties. They have also sought to work together with all the friends who share this ideal, to support the continuity and promotion of this great friendship through the 1st Ibero-American Festival in Israel.
